ECMP was established in 1991. ECMP specialises in Mine waste management, open pit mining and materials handling projects, applying leading edge civil, mining and environmental engineering technologies and solutions.

Our experience in waste management has encompassed the full range of types of tailings within the mining industry.

These services are also rendered to power stations producing ash and any other utilities producing residues and waste materials.

The operation and management of municipal landfill and hazardous waste facilities is also undertaken.

Over the past 10 years, ECMP has pioneered the design, construction and operations of Paste and Thickened Tailings Facilities in the South African Mining Industry all inclusive of the thickening and pumping operations and the entire disposal facility. This technology continues to gain international recognition given the water usage and environmental advantages that are achieved when compared to conventional tailings disposal methods.

Over the past five years, ECMP has expanded its Mining Services to include open pit mining operations, the crushing and screening and handling of ore, the design and management of spoil dumps and the co-disposal of Mine Waste and Mine Tailings Materials.

ECMP has established a world class design team, a competent civil engineering construction division and an experienced operations and management division with the prime objective of offering exceptional and outstanding engineering services to our clients.
